It’s Summertime!

We are so excited for summer at Baby Once!  We can’t wait to relax at the pool and build sandcastles on the beach.   We just need to make sure we are protected from that sun we love!  Ultraviolet Light is not only damaging to our skin, but can also be damaging to our eyes.

Children from the ages of birth through adolescence are at greater risk to accrue eye damage from ultraviolet light.  UV exposure to the eyes can also contribute to the development of many eye disorders including Photokeratis, a reversible sunburning of the cornea, Cataracts, a clouding of the eye’s natural lens which reduces vision, and Skin Cancer which can develop on the eye lids and surounding areas.

But don’t let any of this scare you.  You can still enjoy the sun with proper protection and why not do it in style.  Baby Once offers Baby Banz sunglasses and hats as well as other very cute Sun Hats from Jamie Rae Hats.  Baby Banz sunglasses are a UV400 lens which blocks all UVA, UVB, and UVC rays from the sun.  The comfortable Neoprene straps are adjustable.   Not only are these sunglasses functional, but they are also adorable.  They come in many different patterns and colors for boys and girls to enjoy!  Two sizes are also available, 0-2 years and 2-5 years.

Make sure you also have a sunhat to further protect against UV rays.  The Baby Banz hats and wrapz we offer are 100% cotton/100% polyester and have a UPF protection of 50 plus.  Not only does it protect, but it is also comfortable and allows your child’s head to breathe.

We hope you enjoy your summer and stay protected!
